Introduction
N-PBS 24.1 New Features
N-PBS 24.1 New Features
We estimate that this will take 5 minutes to complete.
Detailed Explanation
S-76594 - VXP - Initial Configuration
We created the initial configuration for Avelo Airlines (Pilot & Cabin).
S-78330 - ASAP - Add a Limit to Vacation Reduced Credit
We created a Max Limit parameter to the number of pilots that are permitted to be awarded the Vacation Reduced Credit.
The functionality is now the following:
- If the Vacation Reduced Credit is denied due to reaching the new limit, PBS processes the bid group normally.
- If there is a CSSN in the bid group, in addition to the above, the denial of the Vacation Reduced Credit bid does not trigger the CSSN.
Example: The Vacation Reduced Credit bid is not to be in the set of bids that must-be-honored in order to avoid triggering the CSSN.
Note: A must-be-honored bid may still cause the CSSN to trigger.
S-78330 - ASAP - Add a Limit to Vacation Reduced Credit Cont'd
We have clarified existing functionality:
- If a Vacation Reduced Credit bid is ignored due to the user being reduced block, PBS processes the bid group using the reduced block window (i.e., it does not exit the bid group).
- If a CSSN is present in the bid group and Vacation Reduced Credit bid is denied (above scenario), the CSSN does not trigger. Note: There are rare cases where vacations change after bids have been entered.
- If there is no qualifying vacation due to Vacation Reduced Credit being disallowed, PBS processes the bid using the normal window (i.e., it does not exit the bid group).
- If a CSSN is present in the bid group, in addition to the scenario directly above (bulletpoint three), the denial of the Vacation Reduced Credit bid does not cause the CSSN to trigger. Note: There are extremely rare cases where a line cannot be built in the Vacation Reduced Credit window.
- If the Vacation Reduced Credit is valid, however PBS cannot process to complete the line in the Vacation Reduced Credit window, PBS moves to the next bid group.
Note:
- The system does not re-process the same bid group using the normal window; instead it moves to the next bid group.
- This new feature only affects cases where it is impossible to build a line in the Reduced Credit window but possible in the normal window. However, this is extremely unlikely to occur.
- Re-processing the same bid group using the normal window is unlikely and requires extensive re-implementation of certain PBS parameters.
S-78528 - ASAP - Add New Rule RestAfterPairingsWithCo-TerminalException
We added a new rule Rule RestAfterPairingsWithCo-TerminalException which has two parameters:
- Rest Minutes
- Rest Minutes Between Different Co-Terminals
Currently, the default for ASAP Configuration is:
- Rest Minutes = 720
- Rest Minutes Between Different Co-Terminals = 780
- Existing Waive Bid Base Rest waives the 720 down to 630
- Existing Waive Bid Co-Terminal Rest waives 780 down to 630
Note:
- The Rest Minutes parameter applies after all pairings, except for cases of two consecutive different Co-Terminals.
- The Rest Minutes between different Co-Terminal parameter applies only in the case of two consecutive different Co-Terminals.
- Previously configured rules for those Waive Bids are removed as the new rule replace that functionality.
S-78749 - HALC - Remove Waive Calendar Day Free From Duty - Reserve
For HALC, we have removed the Waive for Calendar Day Free From Duty for Reserve Rule.
Reserve
- MaxDaysOn Rule
S-78752 - ASAP - Number of Duties Bid Preference - Scheduler/WebApp
For ASAP, we created a new pairing property and new pairing filter called Number Of Duties.
Main tasks are to:
- Create a Number Of Duties property for Award/Avoid Bids in the Pairing Bid Group for both the Current tab and Default tab
- Create a Number Of Duties filter in the Pairings tab
The paring and the filter sub-menu contains the following:
- Title of sub-menu- Number Of Duties.
- Range dropdown which contains the options as follows:
- Field with arrows and input field for entering the number of duties. Note: There are no maximum restrictions.
S-78752 - ASAP - Number of Duties Bid Preference - Scheduler/WebApp Cont'd
For the Range option, there are two additional input fields with arrows: Between and And
The syntax for Bid lines examples:
1. Award Pairings If Number Of Duties = (or >, <) 1 (or any number) Duties
2. Avoid Pairings If Number Of Duties = (or >, <) 1 (or any number) Duties
3. Award Pairings If Number Of Duties Between 2 (or any Number) And 3 (or any Number)
The syntax for pairing filter:
1. Pairing list for If Number Of Duties = (or >, <) 1 (or any number) Duties
2. Pairing list for If Number Of Duties Between 3 Duties (or any number) And 6 (or any number) Duties
S-78860 - SCX - Add RLL to Configuration
For SCX, we have enhanced three different configurations, we have:
- added Reduced Lower Limit (RLL) to the SCX bid configuration (CategoryOptions.xml).
- added RLL to the RunDetailSummary.txt (Stats Report)(Use label "Employees")
- added RLL Permission Type Option to UserTpeOptions.xml
S-78861 - SCX - Add MinDaysOffToX to Configuration
We have added Reserve Waive MinDaysOffToX to the SCX configuration. Note: This affects BidConfig and Rule Config.
- Max Value = 2
- Min Value = 1
S-80555 - ASAP - [Training/FTMS] Identify include individual task coming in as FTMS
We have enhanced the ASA Pilot Absence Import to recognize the absence codes within an
FTMS Event and apply the appropriate credit for the crewmember.
S-78977 - SCX - Disallow Pairing Import (0000-0200)
We have configured SCX ability to import file CrewPlan Pairings. The enhancement prevents importing files containing pairings with check-in times between 0000-0200. If such a situation occurs, the expected result is that the import fails (import rollback), and an error message is displayed.
Scenario for SCX:
1. Log in to the Admin UI for JBU.
2. Navigate to the Period tab.
3. Click on the Data button for the selected period.
4. In the Import Files section, click the dropdown.
5. Select the CrewPlan Pairings option (see Screen 1).
6. Click on the Choose file button, select a proper file and open it.
7. Click on the Import button.
Expected result - positive scenario:
- The import logs display.
- The file is imported successfully if no pairing with a check-in time between 0000-0200 exists.
- The CrewPlan Pairings column in the Pairing Data Status table is updated (see Screen 2).
- The downloaded records can be searched in the Pairings tab.
Expected result - negative scenario:
- The import logs display.
- The file is not imported successfully if a pairing with a check-in time between 0000-0200 exists.
- The CrewPlan Pairings column in the Pairing Data Status table is not updated.
- An error message displays.
