1 Introduction
Importing, exporting, and editing locations
In this topic we review how to update your airports within the PBS system.
We estimate that this will take 2 minutes to complete.
2 Detailed Explanation
Start from the Locations tab. Within the PBS system, Locations and Airports are synonymous.
Click
the Locations tab.
Click
the Import / Export tab.
Let's start this demonstration with showing you how to update your location details by exporting them to a .CSV file, where you can make the changes you require before importing the .CSV file back into the PBS system again.
Click
the Export button.
Click CLASS-LocationDST.csv.
The .CSV file will download. Note, this notification may differ from browser to browser.
You can now make the changes that you require using Excel. We won't show you how to use Excel in this demonstration as we assume that this is common knowledge, however you must keep the files you work with in .CSV format so PBS can continue to use them.
Click
the Close button.
Now, let's import the updated .CSV file.
Click
the Choose file button.
Click CJT-DST
V2.csv file.
Click
the Open dropdown
button.
Click
the Import button.
You can monitor the status of the file import on this screen.
Click
the Continue button.
Click
the Confirm button.
Let's view the updated location information.
Click
the Locations Details tab.
SUCCESS
Congratulations! You have successfully imported updated location (airport) information.
You can also add and edit locations individually if required. Let's review how to do that for Albuquerque (ABQ).
Click ABQ.
Click
the Edit button.
From here, you can make individual edits as required.
Click
the Cancel button.
