Introduction 

Using Add Bids Mode functionality 

In this training, we review how to use Add Bids Mode to place pairing bids. 

We estimate that this will take 6 minutes to complete.

Detailed Explanation 

ATTENTION 

Before we begin, there must be an existing current active bid group. Let's go through the process of creating one to use in this example.

Click the Pairings tab.

Click the Plus image .

Click the Plus image to enable Add Bids Mode. 

Click the Pairing check box.

Select the first pairing. 

Click the Check image.

Use the Check image to add this pairing to the bid group. 

Click the OK button.

This error message occurs because we do not have an active pairing bid group. 

Click the Bids tab.

Let's now add an active bidding pairing group to our bids page. 

Click the Add Bid Group button.

Click the Apply button.

We've created an active bid group.

Click the Pairings tab.

Let's now add preferences.

Click the Check image.

The selection you made earlier is still active. 

Confirm that you want to add this pairing to the current bid. 

Click the OK button.

Click the Bids tab.

Let's look at the current bid and verify that the selected pairing was added. 

Click the Pairings tab.

The pairing we selected displays in the bid group. 

Let's return to the Pairings tab and review some of the different preferences available. 

Click the Pairing check box.

First, let's deselect the pairing we've been working with. 

Click the Average Daily Credit list item.

Let's use a filter to identify pairings we may want to fly based on a high Average Daily Credit.

Click the Select dropdown button.

Click the Greater Than > list item.

Click the Hours input field.

Press the  Backspace key.

Enter 5 into the Hours  field.

Click the Apply button.

Click the Pairing list for If Average Daily Credit > 005:00 check box.

In this scenario, we have reviewed all of these pairings and decided that they are all acceptable. We will therefore add the filter itself to the active bid group. We do this by selecting the check box for the filter. 

Select the Check image to add this to the bid group. 

Click the Check image.

Click the OK button.

Click the Bids tab.

Let's verify that the filter has been added to the bid group. 

Click the Pairings tab.

Now, let's clear the existing filter and add a new filter which avoids departing on Saturdays and Sundays.

Click the Reset button.

Click the Depart On list item.

Click the Days Of Week List list item.

Click the Sa column header.

Click the Su column header.

Click the Apply button.

Click the Avoid image .

The green circles indicate the pairings that meet the criteria in the filter. 

And so forth... 

Click the OK button.

Click the Bids tab.

Let's once again verify that our changes are present in the bid group. 

Click the Row 4 row.

Because it is a 'negative' bid, avoid pairings should typically be at the top of the bid preferences group. Let's move it up.

Click the Up image.

Click the Up image.
