Toolbar Functions
In this topic, you will review the functions available on the toolbars of the different screens.

Introduction
The icons and screen elements discussed throughout this topic can appear on many screens, but their purposes remains the same. If you require a refresher on their use within a particular context, please consult the remaining topics in the course.
Detailed Explanation
The Information screen appears by default when you open the NAVBLUE Peer Bidding System. This section describes the different navigation options. Further details on these screens appear throughout the topic.
The info tab displays this screen.
- The Bidder Details contain your personal information, such as your seniority and base.
- The Total Pairings Day Wise provides a quick overview of the pairings in your category.
- The Upcoming Activities area lists your next 5 activities, if you have any.
- The Bidding Information area allows your administrators to post important information that you may want to consider before bidding.
Note that all of the information on this screen may vary depending upon your particular setup.
Hovering your mouse pointer over the arrow for each tab offers a brief overview of the screen the tab opens when clicked. Each screen is discussed in more detail as we go through this topic.
You can move to the next screen when done by clicking Next in the control panel at the lower left.
The Calendar screen displays any absences or carry-ins that you may have and shows necessary rest periods assigned by the system.
The Pairings screen lists all of the pairings available to you in your category. You can perform searches for pairings with attributes that align with when you want to work. You can also add bids here based on the search results.
The Bids screen is where you can edit and submit your bid. If you are offline when you edit bids, you can save them to submit when you're back online. you can also see any default bids, or bids from past periods.
The Results screen displays the results of the bidding. Once bidding closes, your administrator will perform runs and publish the results. You can also view the reasons report, and past results.
The Training Screen displays any training you have available, and allows you to bid time towards it. This tab may not appear in your particular setup depending upon your training policy.
On the Information screen, the toolbar appears on the top right. Other screens have the toolbar at the top left. This section describes the functions available on this toolbar.
Use the Synchronization button to update (synchronize) the data on the server and on your device.
This is the Help button. It calls up the online help.
Logout button. This logs you out of the system.
Click the Calendar tab to continue the tour.
The screen includes buttons previously covered on the Information screen and new options. This section describes the functions of the new options.
This is the Calendar button. It toggles the calendar to a more traditional view.
This is the Print icon. It prints the information on the current tab, in this case, the calendar.
This is the Download icon. It downloads the calendar in .ics format to allow you to import it into another tool, such as Microsoft Outlook.
Click the Pairings tab to continue the tour.
Use the Dates View button to see a simplified view of the pairings in your filter, showing them by date rather than flight number.
The Show Pairing Report provides a detailed printable report of all the pairings selected.
Click the Bids tab.
If there is a person you want to fly with over all your bids, enter that person's employee number in the Buddy ID field.
Not all airlines use the Buddy ID field.
HINT
Bid groups like those displayed on this screen, are covered in a later topic.
By default, Bid For shows the current bid month. If you synced other bid periods, you can select any of those months and copy your bid preferences from an earlier bid period. Another topic describes synchronizing your bid data.
This is the Delete button. It deletes all bid pairings for the current bid period.
The Submit to server button appears grayed out and inactive in this example. When active, clicking this button submits your bid to the system after you make changes to your bid preferences.
This is the Save button. Although grayed and inactive in this example, this button, saves the bid preferences to your local device while you are offline so you can sync them when back online.
Cut, Copy, Paste. You can use these to cut portions of previous bids and paste into current bids.
HINT
Grayed out buttons become active once you click on, and select a line in a bid group.
Delete button. Deletes whatever is highlighted on the screen rather than all items from the bid period, as discussed earlier.
Up / Down button. Each moves the content of the selected line up or down respectively, changing the sequence in which your bid preferences are submitted.
The Edit button allows you to edit your currently selected bid preference. For example, if you select line 6, you can change its contents.
Analyzer. Clicking this button Activates the bid analyzer, allowing you to see how many pairings fit your criteria.
Insert Above / Below buttons
Add a new line either above or below the currently selected line to include additional bid criteria.
The Add a Bid Group button allows you to add an additional bid group to the listing..
Click the Results tab.
Use Results For and Sort By to select and sort the awarded results based upon sort criteria. The arrow button sorts in either ascending oe descending order.

Click the Training tab for the last page of the tour.
The Show Training Report button presents a detailed, printable report for all of the selected training events.
Use the Show/Hide button to select the columns of data that you want to see.
The column options are:
- Start Time
- End Time
- Training Type
- Credit
- Seats
- Locations
- Categories
- Extra Properties
- Length
- Dates
Use the Select/Deselect All button to select or deselect all the training in the window.
Sort By dropdown button. Allows you to sort by various training attributes:
- Training Number
- Start Time
- End Time
- Training Type
- Credit
- Seats
- Locations
- Categories
- Extra Properties
- Length
Each attribute can be further sorted in ascending or descending order using the arrow button.
Use the Plus button to Enable Add Bids Mode. You'll learn more about Add Bids mode in another topic.
