Days Off Opposite Employee

Reminder: Days Off Opposite Employee can be placed above or below Prefer Off and Avoid bid preferences in a Reserve or Pairing bid group; however, it must be above all Award bid preferences. This bid cannot be forgotten and it will automatically be placed above your first Award bid preference, if you attempt to add it below an Award bid. The interface will not allow the bid to be moved below an Award bid, nor can an Award bid be moved above it.

You cannot have a Days Off Opposite Employee bid and a Days Off With Employee bid in the same bid group. You can only bid for Days Off Opposite with one other employee. You cannot bid for Days Off Opposite with an employee that is more junior than you.

Notes:

  • It tells the N-PBS Scheduler to build a block with days off opposite a more senior crewmember and award you pairings while the other employee is not working.

  • You can add a minimum number of days option.

  • A day off is defined as a day that contains no working activities. A  non-working absence is considered a day off-this applies to both crewmember involved in the bid.

  • Only days within the bid period are considered.

Set Condition Bid Example
