Detailed Explanation
Default bids are used when a current bid is not available and has not been placed. It remains in the system from one bid period to the next.

We recommend that default bids do not contain specific dates.
Click the Default tab.
In this training example we will show you how to set up a default bid that gives you weekends off regardless of whether you are flying or are on reserve.
HINT
Setting up a default bid uses the same process as setting up any other bid.
Click the Add Bid Group button.
Click the Apply button.
Click Prefer Off.
Click Weekends.
Click Back To Prefer Off.
Click Else Start Next Bid Group.
Click the Apply button.
Here we are telling the system we want all the weekends off, and if not then move on to the next bid group.
Click the Add Bid Group button.
Now we are going to tell the system that we want weekends off, being on reserve.
Click Reserve Bid Group.
Click .
Click Prefer Off.
Click Weekends.
Click the Apply button.
Click the button.
Click the OK button.
