Any / Every Options
This bid has an Any or Every option. If you use Any - only one pairing has to contain the property for it to be awarded or avoided*.
If you use Every - every leg of the pairing has to contain the property for it to be awarded or avoided*.
Reminders
*In most configurations, Any and Every options are not available for Avoid Pairings Bid Preferences. If you do not see these options on your avoid bids, you do not have them.
Avoid Every only removes pairings where every leg has the property to be avoided. For example, Avoid Pairings if Every Leg is Redeye does not remove pairings where not all legs are redeyes. It only removes pairings where every leg is a redeye.

Layover
Bid for or avoid layovers in a specific station, on a specific date, or with a specific duration.
Award Pairings bid example
Award Pairings If Any Layover In BOS And Of Duration > 018:00
It awards pairings with at least one layover in BOS if the layover duration is longer than 18 hours.
Award Pairings If Not Any Layover In BOS
It awards pairings with no layovers in BOS.
Avoid Pairings bid example
Avoid Pairings If Any Layover Of Duration > 018:00
It filters out pairings with a layover longer than 18 hours.
Details
You can set these options for layovers:
The stations you want layovers in; pairings with at least one layover in the specified station are considered.
The duration of layovers.
The day of week, date range, or specific dates you want layovers on; pairings with at least one layover that starts on a specified date are considered.
The starting time or starting time range of the layover.
The enroute check-out time or enroute check-in time of the layover (using the Enroute Check-In or Check-Out preference).
Reminder: Unless you use the Includes All Of option, the Layover bid preference only considers the day or date on which the layover starts or remains for the entire day or date. The day or date on which a layover ends is not considered.
Layover Includes All Of
The Includes All Of option matches pairings with layovers that entirely encompass the entered range. This option is similar to the On option, however, it differs in that the On option matches pairings with layovers that touch any portion of the input range. If a pairing has multiple layovers, the Includes All Of option needs to match only a single layover to award or avoid the pairing.

It awards pairings if any layover in the pairing completely encompasses the range from Monday at 00:00 to Tuesday at 23:59.
Avoid Pairings If Any Layover Includes All Of August 1, 2010 to August 2, 2010
It filters out pairings that have a layover that completely encompasses the range from Monday at 00:00 to Tuesday at 23:59.
Award Pairings If Any Layover Includes All Of August 1, 2009 06:00 to August 2, 2009 23:00
It awards pairings that have a layover that completely encompasses the range from August 1st at 06:00 to August 2nd at 23:00. You can add a time range to Date and Day of Week ranges.
