Any / Every Options
This bid preference includes an Any or Every option.
- If Any is selected, only one leg of the pairing must have the property for the pairing to be awarded or avoided.*
- If Every is selected, every leg of the pairing must have the property for the pairing to be awarded or avoided.*
Reminders
In most configurations, Any and Every options are not available for Avoid Pairings bid preferences. If these options do not appear for Avoid bids, they are not available.
Avoid Every only removes pairings where every leg has the property to be avoided. For example, Avoid Pairings if Every Leg is Redeye only removes pairings where all legs are redeyes. Pairings with mixed legs are not removed.
Refer to the "Using Any or Every" article for more information.
Duty Legs
Bid for or avoid pairings in which a Duty Day contains a number of Duty Legs greater than, equal to, or less than a specific number, or within or outside a range. Deadhead Legs can be included when determining the number of Duty Legs in a Duty Day.
Duty Legs refers to the count per duty day, not for the entire pairing. For example, a three-day pairing with two legs per day if you bid to avoid pairings with Duty Legs greater than three.
Award Pairings Bid Example
Award Pairings If Any Duty Legs = 2 legs
- Pairings are awarded if any duty period contains exactly two Duty Legs.
Avoid Pairings Bid Example
Avoid Pairings If Every Duty Legs > 4 legs
- Pairings are filtered out if every duty day has more than four duty legs in any single duty period.
